Treats that look so good you’ll want to eat them!
Does your dog have a sweet tooth? Satisfy that craving with carob—these chips look like chocolate, but are 100 percent safe for dogs to eat. That’s because carob, which comes from a dark brown pea pod, has no caffeine…but it does have a lot of fiber and plenty of antioxidants. Combined with yogurt, peanut butter, and The Honest Kitchen's Instant Goat's Milk, your dog will be doing all kinds of tricks to get his paws on these frozen treats.Ingredients
-
1/3 cup Carob chips
-
1 tsp olive oil
-
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
-
1 cup plain yogurt
-
1 tbsp The Honest Kitchen's Instant Goat's Milk
Directions
Mix yogurt, Instant Goat's Milk and peanut butter together. Mix with spoon until smooth.
- Melt carob chips on stove in double boiler. Let water boil, turn down to low setting, and place top boiler with carob chips and olive oil on top of bottom pot. Stir until chips turn to liquid.
- Pour the melted carob into the yogurt mixture. Stir until combined.
- Spoon or pour mixture in ice cube trays or molds. Place in freezer and leave overnight.
- Pop out of mold and give to your dog to enjoy!
Recipe Note
Silicone molds can make a mess when you’re moving them from the counter to the freezer. Before you pour the yogurt mixture into the molds, place them on a small cookie sheet. Then, place the cookie sheet with the mold into the freezer. No more spills!
